BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Sarah Hudak, a senior on the Blazers' cross country team, has been selected as the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week presented by Waffle House.
A graduate student pursuing a degree in clinical nutrition, the Manchester, England native has compiled a 3.66 GPA.
Hudak claimed the individual title at the squad's season opener at the Crimson Tide Cross Country Kickoff, crossing the finish line of the 3k race with a time of 10:47.02 and besting the runner-up by more than five seconds. As a team, UAB finished fourth overall.
