Sam Serley averaged 3.33 kills and 2.33 blocks per set at the C-USA Tournament

TULSA, Okla. ---- Sam Serley of the UAB volleyball team earned a spot on the Conference USA All-Tournament Team, which was held over the weekend at the Reynolds Center, hosted by the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
Serley was named to the six-member squad, by propelling the fourth-seeded Blazers past the No. 5 UTEP Miners in the first round. Against the Miners, Serley put away 12 kills and hit .360 on the attacking end.
Defensively is where she left her mark in the UAB record books against the Miners. Serley totaled eight blocks, including three solo stuffs to claim the Blazers' single-season record for blocks, surpassing Julie Myers' total of 175 in 1989.
UAB fell in the C-USA Tournament semifinals to eventual league champion Tulsa. In that match, Serley put down eight kills and six blocks. For the tournament, she averaged 3.33 kills and 2.33 blocks per set.
