Mt. Sac Relays Results

WALNUT, Calif.--Seniors Sarah Hudak and Rhiannon Johns each broke a school record on Friday as the distance runners competed at the 55th Annual Mt. Sac Relays.

Hudak finished third in her section and third overall in the 1,500m run with a time of 4:20.58. The Manchester, England, native broke her own school record of 4:21.84, which she set in 2012.

In the 5,000m, Johns finished fifth overall with a time of 16:01.24, beating the school record by nearly six seconds. Junior Elinor Kirk most recently held the top time with a mark of 16:07.13

At the Vanderbilt Invite in Nashville, Tenn., redshirt junior Angel Watson finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 24.31. Senior Shakima Knox followed with a time of 24.97 for 14th place, while junior Kyana White ran a 25.28. Also for the Blazers, freshman Breona Humphrey finished at 26.30.

In the 1,500m run, sophomore Kristie Leybourne finished with a time of 5:15.65, while sophomore Lauren Scott finished the 5,000m with a time of 18:19.78.

In the long jump, junior Renay Ransaw jumped a best distance of 5.28m.

The Blazers will wrap up competition at both the Mt. Sac Relays and the Vanderbilt Invitational on Saturday.
