Danielle Keplinger, who has spent the past two years at Georgia Southern as an assistant with the Eagles' cross country and track and field program, begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Blazers' cross country and track and field programs. Her main focus at UAB will be on working with the distance runners.
A former distance runner herself, Keplinger was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track at Auburn University, earning her bachelor's degree in physical education in 2005.
Following her college career, she served a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Georgia Southern University. During her time with the Eagles, she helped coach the women's track and field team to its first-ever Southern Conference outdoor championship in 2007.
