BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB women's tennis team is set for its final road trip of the season this weekend when the Blazers trek to Miami, Fla., to face UCF and FIU on Saturday and Sunday.
First serve between UAB and UCF is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, before the Blazers then face FIU at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday.
UAB enters the weekend with an 8-10 overall record and 1-4 mark in Conference USA action. The Blazers will play on the road for the fourth and fifth straight times this week and are looking to win two-straight road contests for the first time this season.
Freshman Pardis Kianoush leads UAB in wins with an 11-6 overall singles record, playing mostly at the No. 3 court. In doubles, the top tandem of Rachel Daniell and Elaine Simon paces the Blazers with an 8-8 record, including a 4-1 mark in league action.
Following the trip to South Florida, the Blazers return home for their final two matches of the season. UAB hosts ULM at 2 p.m. CT on Friday, April 11 before entertaining Troy at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 12.
