TUSCALOOSA, Ala. --- UAB's women's tennis doubles team of Rachel Daniell and Caroline Faught advanced to the second round of the Melissa Day Doubles Draw at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic with a win on Friday. 

Daniell and Faught teamed up to down Karlee Bryde and Amanda Murray from Furman, 8-6, to advance to Saturday. 

In other action, UAB's tandem of Sarah Witkowski and Elaine Simon dropped an 8-4 doubles contest to Middle Tennessee's Tiffany William and Jesse Grace in the Blazers' only other doubles match. 

Daniell fell, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in singles action, while Simon fell, 6-2, 6-0 and Faught dropped a 7-5, 6-1 match.
