Laura Swain is in her third season with the UAB women's tennis team after a successful collegiate career at Charlotte.
In her three years at UAB, the Blazers have compiled an overall record of 40-15 (.727).
While playing for the 49ers, Swain recorded 64 singles victories, second all-time at Charlotte. Additionally, she holds the 49ers all-time record with 70 doubles wins. In 2005, Swain and partner Lindsay Morris became the first Charlotte duo to record 20 doubles victories. Swain was the first 49er to be named to the All-Conference USA team, when she received third team honors in 2002.
Swain graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham where she ranked number one in Alabama in 18-under and No. 17 in the South. A native of Hertfordshire, England, she graduated in 2005 with a bachelors in psychology and sociology.
