BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB softball player Nicole Stout has been dismissed from the team and pitcher Kerri Foster, also of the softball team, has been suspended.

"Nicole Stout has been dismissed from the team and Kerri Foster will serve a three-game suspension for disciplinary reasons," said Head Coach Marla Townsend.

Stout, a junior outfielder from Sarsota, Fla., has played in 36 games for the Blazers this season, starting 33.

Foster, a sophomore pitcher from McCalla, Ala., has made 24 pitching appearances and started 19 games as a pitcher for the Blazers.
