Leigh Streetman (7-3) threw UAB's first perfect game since 2006 in the Blazers' 4-0 win over Alabama State on Tuesday.
The last perfect game was thrown by Jennifer Nelson as the Blazers topped Alabama A&M, 8-0 on April 18, 2006.
In game one, the Blazers used 11 runs on 13 hits to defeat the Hornets, 11-1.
UAB improves to 15-6 on the season, while Alabama State falls to 1-23.

UAB began its run production in the first inning, as senior center fielder Whitney Fletcher singled to left center, and was advanced to second when senior catcher Anna Kimbrell reached on a muffed throw by the Hornet third baseman. A sacrifice fly to right field by junior designated hitter Kristen McGrath brought the first run home.
In the top of the second inning, junior first baseman Megan McGrath walked, and was advanced to second by a sacrifice bunt by senior right fielder Chandler Orr. Sophomore second baseman Heather Pearson singled to score M. McGrath for the first run of the inning before advancing to second on the throw. Freshman shortstop Caitlin Attfield got on base before Fletcher hit her third triple of the year toward right field.
The Blazers were up 4-0 going into the top of the third inning, when senior third baseman Kate Armstrong doubled down the left field line. A M. McGrath single up between the pitcher's legs advanced freshman Kelly Britt, who was in to pinch run, to third base. Orr then singled to third base to load the bases, and Pearson doubled to left center to score all three runs, before she was scored when freshman Ashley Johnson singled.
Alabama State scored its lone run, unearned, in the bottom of the fifth inning off a Blazer miscue at third base.
UAB scored three more runs in the top of the sixth inning to close out the 11-1 win.
Game 2 UAB 4, Alabama State 0
Junior pitcher Leigh Streetman threw a perfect game as UAB topped Alabama State, 4-0, in the second game of the doubleheader. In seven innings, Streetman struck out 10 batters, including the top of the Hornet order in the bottom of the final frame.
On the offensive side, Attfield got the UAB bats going with a single to the pitcher, and was advanced to second when Dennis hit a single of her own. Both were advanced on Fletcher's groundout, while Attfield was scored by another groundout by K. McGrath. Dennis was scored when Armstrong hit a single to right center.
UAB held on to the 2-0 lead into the seventh inning, when the Blazers plated two more runs, the first by Attfield when she reached on a single to left field. She stole second on the first pitch of Fletcher's at-bat, then advanced to third when the center fielder grounded out to first base. K. McGrath doubled down the left field line to score Attfield.
With Britt in to pinch run for K. McGrath, Davis singled to left field to score the Blazer freshman.
On the day, Davis led the Blazers with a .750 batting average, while Orr boasted a 1.333 slugging percentage. Pearson hit a .571 on the day, and led the squad with five RBI.
As a team, UAB posted a team batting average of .379, and held the Hornets to just .070.
In the circle, the Blazer pitching staff posted a 0.00 ERA and only allowed three hits, with 19 total strikeouts.
