Holly Krzan is the newest addition to Marla Townsend's staff. After wrapping up her stellar career for the Green & Gold, Krzan is now a volunteer assistant for the Blazers' softball team. She will be primarily working with the outfielders and as a hitting coach.
The West Richland, Wash. native was a four- year letterwinner for UAB and currently holds the career records for games played (237), games started (237), runs scored (118), doubles (52), total bases (332) and walks (108).
During the summer of 2008, Krzan joined up with the Dornbirn Sharx of the Austrian League in the European Softball Federation and won the Austrian Softball League Tournament for the seventh year in a row. Krzan was named the tournament's MVP. The Sharx also went on to finish second in the European Cup as they faced teams from across the continent.
Krzan graduated from UAB in 2008 with a degree in special education.
