IRVING, Texas – UAB women’s soccer senior midfielder Kirsten Ebert was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team for the second year in a row, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Suwanee, Ga., native is just one of four repeat selections on this year’s list with a 3.87 GPA in mass communications and public relations. Ebert, who was named to the second team this year after earning first-team honors in 2012, has been named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and earned the league’s Academic Medal every year while at UAB.
She appeared in every match for the Green and Gold in 2013, and started 19 of the Blazers’ 20 contests. Ebert finished her senior campaign with one goal and 14 shots for six on target.
The conference award marks the third for UAB during head coach Harold Warren’s tenure, and sixth in the past four seasons for the program.
