IRVING, Texas--UAB women's soccer junior midfielder Kirsten Ebertwas named to the Conference USA All-Academic first team, the league office announced Wednesday.

The Suwanee, Ga., native boasts a 3.90 GPA in her major of communications and is a two-time C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree and Academic Medal recipient.

In the 2012 season, Ebert made 17 starts in 18 appearances, logged 1,503 minutes on the pitch, and recorded one goal in the match against Rice (Oct. 14).

The Blazers have had six student-athletes named to the Conference USA All-Academic team over the last three years.
