UAB Women's Soccer Starts Two-Match Road Swing At Houston

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- - The UAB women's soccer team returns to action on the road Friday night when they take on Houston at 7 p.m. in the first of a two-match Conference USA swing.

The Blazers (3-11-2 overall, 2-6-1 in C-USA) look to rebound from a 4-1 home loss Tuesday night to Vanderbilt, while the Cougars defeated DePaul 3-2 in their last outing to up their season record to 7-8-1 overall and 3-5-1 in league play.

Denise Peters (Jacksonville, Ala.) and Jill Knottek (Midland, Texas) lead UAB in goals with four apiece, while Adrienne Suffride (Columbia, S.C.) and Maile Kruse (Crowley, Texas) have two each.

The Blazers complete the two-match trip as well as C-USA regular season play with a 1 p.m. match Sunday at Saint Louis.
