Blazers Return Home For Two C-USA Matches

Senior midfielder Kirsten Ebert has played in every match this season for the Blazers, recording one goal.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's soccer team will play two matches in the friendly confines of West Campus Field this weekend, which marks the first time the squad has had a home game since Sunday, Sept. 8. UAB hosts UTEP on Friday night, before playing East Carolina on Sunday night. 

Eight Wins Through 11 Matches
With the win against Marshall, the team improved its record to 8-3-0. The squad has matched the most victories it has recorded in a single season since 2010.

Eight wins through 11 games matches the most amount of victories through 11 contests in program history. The 1996 and 2003 teams each had eight wins, as well.

Most Recently
In its most recent outing, the UAB women's soccer team scored a 1-0 victory at Marshall on Sunday, Sept. 29. It marked the squad's first victory in Conference USA play in 2013 and first win in conference play since Sept. 21, 2012.

Junior midfielder Johanna Liney scored the game-winner for the Blazers in Huntington, W.V. In addition, sophomore goalkeeper Courtnie Northern collected her first clean sheet of 2013.
