Women's Soccer Falls To Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- The UAB women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Colorado College on Sunday after the Tigers scored a goal late in the game.

Sophomore Johanna Liney and freshman Paige Hanks led UAB (2-12, 1-5 C-USA) with two shot attempts apiece. As a team, the Blazers recorded eight shots, while Colorado College (8-3-4, 3-2-1 C-USA) recorded 19.

For the Tigers, freshman Alexis Long scored the lone goal of the game when she headed the ball past UAB keeper Courtnie Northern in the 81st minute.

Up next the Blazers will return to West Campus Field to host Houston and Rice on Friday and Sunday, respectively. The match against Houston will kick off at 7 p.m. CT, while UAB and Rice are set to start at 1 p.m. CT.
