Garrett Linquist joined the UAB women's soccer program in the spring of 2014 as an assistant coach under head coach Harold Warren.
Linquist joins the UAB staff after a two-year stint at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. During his debut season in Huntsville in 2012, the Lady Chargers recorded 10 wins including the program's first-ever victory at the Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer Championships. UAH featured six all-conference selections, a Freshman of the Year selection and four players who earned all-region status. The Chargers totaled a 5-10-5 record in 2013 in Linquist's final season with UAH.
Prior to his two-year stint with the Chargers, Linquist served as an assistant for two seasons at St. Stephen's High School in Hickory, N.C. Additionally, he served as a coach with the Catawba Valley Youth Soccer Association in Hickory and worked with the U-14 and U-16 boys teams.
Other experience for Linquist includes working with UAH Head Coach Jimmy Mitchell at his Elite Soccer Academy camps in Louisiana, Alabama and North Carolina, and he holds a National D Coaching License from the USSF.
Linquist graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in May 2012 with a degree in accounting.
