BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's golf team wraps up its fall season this week when the team travels to Mobile, Ala., to take part in the University of South Alabama Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The two-day, 36-hole event begins on Monday at the Steelwood Country Club in Loxley, Ala. The SCC course is par-72, 6,164 yards. UAB is one of seven teams competing at the tournament this week that will feature 18 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
The Blazers enter their final event of the fall after placing 11th in the UAB Fall Beach Blast last week. UAB was strong on the final day of the event, improving by five strokes on the final 18 holes.
UAB is led by senior Caitlin Watts, who took home a second-place finish in the Grizzly Invitational to begin the year and was UAB's top performer in last week's Fall Beach Blast. Meanwhile, Margaret Yeh has also had a strong fall as she was UAB's second-best performer in last week's event.
