WAYNESVILLE, N.C. – UAB women's golf is in 10th place after one round at the 2013 Great Smokies Invitational, which is being played at the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa.

As a team, the Blazers shot a 26-over par 314 through the first 18 holes at the tournament. Currently, Samford is atop the leaderboard with a seven-under par 281 on the par-72 course.

Leading the Blazers on Monday was sophomore Jessica Rouillard, who shot a four-over par 76 in the first round. Senior Caitlin Watts is in 40th place with a six-over par 78. Samford's Bailey Gray and Mercer's Macy McRaney are leading the field of 67 players as each shot a five-under par 67 on the day.
