Laura Waldrop is in her first year as an Assistant Manager for Athletic Operations and Facilities and her ninth year overall working with the Athletic Department. Among her duties, she serves as the primary game-management contact for women’s soccer and sand volleyball, and she assists with game-management responsibilities at other events. The former UAB women's basketball player spent nine seasons on the Blazer women’s basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations. Her duties included overseeing travel arrangements, film exchange and summer camps.

Waldrop began her basketball career as a standout at Prattville High School, averaging 20 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals during her senior campaign. She was honored by the Montgomery Advertiser by being named to the Montgomery All-Metro Team.
