Allen's responsibilities include recruiting, scouting reports and working with the guards.
Allen spent her collegiate basketball career at Virginia, where she received the team's 2002 Leadership Award as the Cavaliers finished third in the Atlantic Coast Conference and advanced to their 19th-straight NCAA Tournament.
Allen spent the next two seasons on the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball staff from 2002-04. As a graduate assistant, her major focus was assisting the coaching staff with recruiting. During Allen's two years at Tennessee, the Lady Vols went to the NCAA Women's Final Four twice, finishing second in 2003 and 2004.
Allen graduated from UVa's prestigious McIntire School of Commerce in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in commerce and a minor in economics. She was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a National Leadership Honor Society.
Before going to Tennessee, the Boyertown, Pa., native was camp administrator for head coach Debbie Ryan's University of Virginia Basketball Camps in 2002, assisting with logistical duties. Prior to graduation, Kathy spent two summers working for NIKE as a WNBA Representative in Utah (2000) and Orlando (2001).
