BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend as the Blazers take part in the Crimson Tide Fall Championships at the University of Alabama Tennis Stadium.
The tournament will bring together 16 teams from across the southeast. The Blazers will be joined by a trio of Conference USA teams in Memphis, Tulane and Southern Miss as well as four SEC teams in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. In addition, Jacksonville State, Gardner Webb, Georgia Southern, Middle Tennessee State, Radford, Tennessee Tech and UT-Chattanooga round out the field.
This will be the final tournament of the fall for the Blazers who will have seven players entered in singles and three doubles teams among the field.
Sophomores Danny Manlow and Daniel Moser are coming off a solid performance at last weekend's Wilson/ITA South Regional Championships. Manlow reached the singles Round of 32 and teamed with Moser to make the quarterfinal round in doubles.
The Crimson Tide Fall Championships starts play on Friday and will continue through Sunday.
