BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- After a 12-day layoff, the UAB men's tennis team is back in action Thursday when the Blazers play host to in-state foe Troy in a 1:30 p.m. match at the Lakeshore Tennis Center.
The contest against the Trojans will be the final home match of the year for UAB. The match with Troy was originally to be played on Tuesday but was moved due to the threat of inclement weather.
The Blazers are playing their first match since March 30 when it defeated DePaul to take third at the Middle Tennessee Shootout.
UAB enters Thursday's match against Troy with an 11-7 record overall. The Trojans will come into the match with a record of 7-15. Troy lost to then No. 57 UCF at Orlando April 4 in its most recent action.
The Blazers and Trojans played two weeks ago in an opening round match at the Middle Tennessee Shootout. UAB prevailed in that match, 4-1.
