BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB men's tennis team will play three opponents from the state of Florida in four days as the Blazers begin a spring break trip this weekend.

UAB starts the three-match trip on Saturday with a Noon ET match against Florida Gulf Coast at Fort Myers, Fla. The Blazers will enter the match with the Eagles with a 6-6 overall record and a 3-1 mark in Conference USA play.

UAB lost its last match, falling to then No. 62-ranked Louisiana-Lafayette (5-2) March 18 in Birmingham. The Blazers had won their two previous matches before the loss to the Ragin' Cajuns, defeating C-USA foe Southern Miss (5-2) on March 4 and Belmont (7-0) on March 9.

Florida Gulf Coast (6-8)
The Eagles enters Saturday's match with UAB looking for their fifth consecutive home victory ... lost to No. 51-ranked Minnesota (7-0) in their most recent match on Tuesday ... the Eagles' top singles player, Jodi Vives, is No. 70 nationally in the ITA Rankings, presenting an attractive matchup against Blazers' top player, Chris Helliar, ranked No. 72.

Bethune-Cookman (4-14) The Wildcats lost to Stony Brook (6-1) in their most recent outing on March 19 ... Bethune-Cookman's last victory came against Chicago State (5-1) on March 13.

Stetson (6-6) The Hatters have a match Saturday vs. North Florida before hosting UAB on Tuesday ... Stetson last played on March 18 when the Hatters dropped a 4-3 match to Green Bay.
