BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB men's tennis team, ranked No. 69 in the latest ITA Rankings, will be back in action Tuesday when the Blazers play host to Conference USA foe Southern Miss in a 1 p.m. match at the Lakeshore Tennis Center.

The Blazers (4-5) have been idle since suffering a 5-2 loss to No. 50-ranked Nebraska in Atlanta on Feb. 22.

UAB moved into the national rankings last week for the first time this season. All five losses by the Blazers have come at the hands of ranked teams.

One of the strengths for UAB in the early season has been the team's play in doubles. The Blazers have won the doubles point in seven of nine matches this season.

Southern Miss will come into Tuesday's match with a 6-6 record. The Golden Eagles will be playing their first conference match of the season.
