BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team will be back on the courts Sunday afternoon when the Blazers play host to the Mercer Bears in a 2:00 dual match at the George Ward Tennis Center.

The Blazers (4-6) have been idle since defeating Kennesaw State, 6-1, last Sunday in Birmingham. The win over the Owls was the second in a row for UAB after the Blazers halted a five-match losing streak Feb. 15 with a 4-3 victory over Samford.

UAB has played five ranked teams this year.

Mercer comes into Sunday's match with a 1-8 record thus far in 2013. The Bears' last action was Thursday when they suffered a 6-1 setback to Florida A&M.

After Sunday's match against Mercer, the Blazers will not play another dual until Friday, March 1 when they host Nicholls State in a 10:00 a.m. match at George Ward.
