BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team is back in action Wednesday afternoon when the No. 75-ranked Blazers take on No. 55 Arkansas inside the Dills Indoor Tennis Facility at Fayetteville, Ark. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. CT.
UAB is 2-1 on the season but hasn't played a dual match since defeating Florida Gulf Coast, 5-2, at Tallahassee, Fla. on Jan. 20. The Blazers opened the season Jan. 19 with a 4-2 win over Florida A&M before falling to No. 32 Florida State, 7-0, later in the day.
The Razorbacks, who will be playing their first home match of the season, are 3-1 thus far after a 1-1 weekend in the ITA Kickoff Regional at Charlottesville, Va. Arkansas downed No. 62 Georgia State, 4-2, but fell to No. 1-ranked Virginia, 6-1.
The Razorbacks also have registered 7-0 wins over Nebraska-Omaha and South Dakota State.
UAB will be back home on Saturday when the Blazers play host to No. 21-ranked Auburn. The match with the Tigers is slated for a 1:00 p.m. CT start at George Ward Park.
