UAB's Rafael Rondino clinched the Blazers' third-straight win with his singles victory on Tuesday.

DELAND, Fla. ---- UAB’s men’s tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip to Florida Tuesday with a 4-3 victory over Stetson.
The Blazers (9-6) won their third match in four days by winning the doubles point and three singles matches.
With the match tied 3-3, senior Rafael Rondino clinched the win for the Blazers with a 6-2, 7-5 victory against the Hatters’ Laurynas Antropikas at the No. 2 singles position.
UAB took victories at the top three singles spots as Chris Helliar, ranked No. 80 nationally, ousted Stetson’s Nathan Debut, 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 1 court, while Blazer Donovan McSeveney defeated the Hatters’ Simon Julin, 6-0, 6-1 at the third court. Meanwhile, Stetson claimed wins at the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles courts.
The Blazers captured the doubles point for the 12th time in 15 matches this season with wins at the first and third positions.
UAB’s tandem of Helliar and Mitchell Martell downed Debut and Hans Adrian Riseng, 8-5, at No. 1, while the Blazer duo of Rondino and Luiz Felipe Pinto defeated Antropikas and Cahit Kapukiran, 8-2, at the third court. The match at the No. 2 position was stopped after UAB secured the doubles point.
UAB will be back in action this weekend as the Blazers travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., to play in the Middle Tennessee Shootout, March 28-30.
