,,I think it says a lot for where our program is when a professional team comes here to play, ?/?? UAB head coach Mike Getman said. ,,Atlanta is preparing for its season and thinks enough of the competition we will provide to come play us. We have now hosted professional soccer and the U.S. National Team. ?/??

The Blazers are going through spring practice in preparation for the 2001 fall season. UAB was 14-5-2 and ranked 19th in the final poll this past season.
