BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Tour Qualifying Tournament concluded on Tuesday in La Quinta, Calif., thus cementing the 2014 Tour status of the 152-man field. Former UAB men’s golfers Zack Sucher and Garrett Osborn each will participate on the Tour in the upcoming 2014 season.

Sucher finished in a tie for 42nd place after firing a 420 (-12) for the six-round qualifying tournament. The Mobile, Ala. native is exempt until the second reshuffle of the 2014 Tour season, which occurs after the eighth event.

Osborn finished four strokes behind Sucher, good enough for a tie for 73rd place. The Birmingham native is exempt until the first reshuffle, which will take place after the fourth tournament of the year.

The Tour season gets underway Feb. 6-9 at the Panama Claro Championship in Panama City, Panama. Sucher and Osborn are looking to play their way onto the PGA Tour, joining former Blazers Graeme McDowell and Will Wilcox.
