Blazer Men's Golf In Eighth After First Round Of VCU Fall Preview

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The UAB men's golf team is in eighth spot after the first round of the Virginia Commonwealth University Fall Preview. The team shot a 12-over par 300, 13 strokes off the lead pace set by Virginia Tech who shot a one-under par 287. Furman (290), Southeastern Louisiana (294), VCU (295), College of Charleston (296), Georgia Southern (299), and Penn State (299) round off the top seven.

Graeme McDowell, Daniel Ozley, and Payton Osborn all shot rounds of 74 for the Blazers and sit tied for 18th. Brian Krusoe of Virginia Tech leads the tournament with a three-under par 69.

The final round will be played on Tuesday morning.
