BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men’s golf team will take the course Sunday for the first round of the Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark. The field includes six teams ranked in the top-65 nationally.
The championship consists of 54 holes on the par 72, 6,935-yard course over three days, with the winner receiving an automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. This is the fifth time in seven years that the tournament has been hosted at Texarkana Country Club.
SMU, Tulsa and UAB tee off at 8:50 a.m. CDT from hole No. 1. UAB is one of four different teams to win a C-USA championship title in Texarkana, earning the 2008 crowns. The Blazers enters this 2013 championship ranked No. 60 by Golfweek.
Following Sunday's opening round at Texarkana Country Club, the championship will resume with 18 holes played Monday at 8 a.m. CDT and the final round will start at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Live scoring of this year's C-USA Men's Golf Championship will be provided by Golfstat.
