Junior Paul Dunne leads the team with two wins on the season.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Paul Dunne of the UAB men’s golf team was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday. It marked the third time this season that Dunne had received such accolades and the fourth time in his collegiate career.
Dunne recorded a fourth-place showing at The Goodwin this past weekend. The competition boasted 17 individuals ranked in the latest Golfstat Cup Top 100. Dunne beat 13 of those individuals after shooting a season-low 205 (-5). The junior recorded a season-best 66 (-4) on the final day of competition at the Stanford University Golf Course.
The Greystones, Ireland native owns a 71.5 stroke average in 27 rounds played in 2013-14. Dunne leads the squad in percentage of rounds counted (91), rounds at or under par (14), wins (2), and top-five finishes (3).
The UAB men’s golf team is back in action on Saturday, April 12 at the Robert Keppler Invitational. The three-round event in Columbus, Ohio marks the squad’s final regular season tournament of the spring season.
