Klein Named To C-USA Football All-Academic Team

Taylor Klein played in 48 games during his career with the Blazers.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB long snapper Taylor Klein is one of 14 Conference USA football players named Thursday to the league's 2012 All-Academic Team.

Klein, a senior from Lexington, Ky., has been with the Blazers' program for five years and just completed his fourth season as the team's long snapper on punts and placekicks. He finished his career with 48 games played.

Klein, who was a member of the 2009 C-USA All-Freshman Team, has a 3.57 grade point average in accounting. He has been named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll four consecutive years.

In all, 11 C-USA schools are represented on the academic team. The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve on their team.
