BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB football team continued its preparations Thursday for Saturday's Conference USA matchup with East Carolina. The final kickoff at Legion Field this season is set for 6:00 p.m. CT and Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) will televise the game.

The Blazers worked on their game plan for a little over an hour Thursday afternoon in shorts and helmets. Head coach Neil Callaway was pleased with his team's performance on the practice fields.

"We had a good day," said Callaway. "We finalized our plan for what we are going to do against East Carolina. We got a lot of good work in."

Saturday will also serve as Senior Day for 14 Blazers. Prior to the opening kick off, UAB will honor all of the senior members who will be playing their final game at Legion Field.

UAB (3-7, 2-4 C-USA) will look to maintain the 3-0 record against the Pirates in Birmingham.

"We've been talking about sending our seniors off the right way, no matter who our opponent is," said Callaway. "We'll have to see if it carries over to Saturday."

Callaway also announced the team captains for Saturday's game will be Matt Taylor on defense, Joe Webb on offense and Swayze Waters on special teams.

Saturday's game will be carried on the Blazers ISP Sports Network. It can be heard locally on WWMM 100.5 FM radio in Birmingham.
