BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB football team will be in search of its first victory against Southern Miss, when the two teams square off Saturday evening at Legion Field.

The Blazers' (2-6, 1-3 C-USA ) offense will be tested against the Golden Eagles (4-4, 3-2 C-USA) who sport one the league's stingiest defenses in the league. Southern Miss ranks first in scoring defense, second in pass defense and total defense and fifth in rush defense.
