BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB football team completed preparations for the 16th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes with a 90-minute session in shells Thursday at the campus practice fields.
“Our goal every single day is to get better one day at a time,” head coach Garrick McGee said. “Regardless of who we’re playing or what’s going on, we’ve got just one goal and it’s to get a little bit better every day.
The contest, pitting a second-consecutive ranked opponent against UAB, will kickoff at Noon ET/11 a.m. CT at Ohio Stadium on Saturday and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. This will be the first-ever meeting between Ohio State and UAB.
“The guys were extremely focused this week, as they always are,” McGee said. “They’re committed to our program and this university.”
The contest will also air on radio locally on the Blazer IMG Sports Network on WUHT-FM 107.7, with David Crane calling the action and Steve Irvine providing analysis for the Blazers.
