BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- UAB head football coach Bill Clark will be the guest speaker at the National Center for Sports Safety Annual Wine Tasting and Dinner next month.
The event will be held at Fleming's at the Summit at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 19.
The National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2001 by Dr. Lawrence Lemak. NCSS focuses on decreasing the number and severity of sports related injuries through educating coaches, parents and the general public on how to prevent, recognize and stabilize these injuries.
Each year NCSS hosts a Wine Dinner at Fleming's to help raise funds in order to continue spreading awareness of the importance of sports safety.
Clark is in his first year as the head coach at UAB after coaching one season at Jacksonville State where he led the Gamecocks to an 11-4 record, a berth in the NCAA FCS playoffs and a final FCS national ranking of No. 10.
