Four Blazers On Phil Steele's Preseason All-C-USA Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- Four UAB football players were named to Phil Steele's 2013 Preseason All-C-USA Team, it was announced on Friday. 

Junior running back Darrin Reaves, a 2012 All-Conference USA First Team selection, was a second-team honoree, while senior wide receiver Jackie Williams was tabbed a third-team selection for both offense and special teams. 

Reaves finished the 2012 season with 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, while hauling in 41 receptions for 302 yards and one touchdown. The Birmingham native became the Blazers' only first-team, all-conference running back selection in school history. 

Williams enters his senior season after leading UAB with 52 receptions for 799 yards last year. 

Also placing on the third-team special teams list was junior kicker Ty Long, who has hit 30-for-36 (83.3 percent) field goals in two years at UAB. 

Senior offensive lineman Kaycee Ike rounds out the Blazer honorees as he was named a fourth-team offense selection. 

UAB opens the 2013 season at Troy on Aug. 31.
