BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB football team returned to the practice field Wednesday as the Blazers worked out for two-and-a-half hours in full pads.
The Blazers, who will practice Friday morning before adjourning for spring break next week, went through their fourth practice of spring drills.
"I think they know what to do now as far where to go," head coach Bill Clark said now that his team has completed a week of practice. "Hopefully, we will see the energy pick up a lot.
"I'm pleased with the effort and the attitude, but we want more now. As I said to the guys at the last practice Saturday, `you know what to do, you know where to go for the most part. Let's do it now. Let's turn it loose and be more intense.'"
"The one thing that we can control is effort," Clark said. "There are a lot of people that say that and hopefully, we do it. Saying it, that's good coach-talk, but that's who we are. I hope that's what we're known for."
UAB will continue its spring preparations until Friday, April 18, when the Blazers will hold their annual spring game at West Campus Field.
