Though some may deem him a bit undersized for his position, his motor and tenacity more than make up for any size limitations ... made a significant impact and demonstrated his play-making abilities on numerous occasions as a true freshman in 2012 ... will compete for starting defensive end job entering fall practice.

2012: Played in all 12 games and started five of them ... started the final four games of the season ... finished with 14 tackles, including eight solo stops ... had 6.5 tackles for loss (-36 yards) and 3.5 sacks (-32 yards) ... had four tackles in games vs. Southern Miss and Marshall ... registered three tackles for loss in the win over the Golden Eagles ... had a pair of tackles for loss and two sacks in road game at South Carolina in second contest of the season ... also had sacks against Marshall and Memphis.
