Became starter at linebacker for the Blazers in '05 and is expected to fill that role again in 2006 at "Sam" position ... saw action for the Blazers in 2003 as a reserve linebacker and special teams performer and held similar role again in 2004 ... former high school QB who walked-on at UAB ... has since earned scholarship ... has also been outstanding special teams player at UAB.

2005: Starter at "Sam" linebacker in seven games ... played in all 11 contests ... finished the year with 26 tackles ... also had 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack ... had a pass break-up and two QB hurries ... recorded a season-high five tackles vs. Jacksonville State and UCF ... also had four stops in win at Troy with a sack ... forced one fumble in Jacksonville State game.

2004: Played in all 12 games, mainly on special teams ... returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown in UAB^s season-opening 56-14 win over Baylor on Sept. 4 ... recorded 10 total tackles, including five solos.

2003: Saw action in 11 of 12 games for the Blazers, primarily as member of UAB special teams ... finished the season with eight total tackles, including six solo hits ... had a season-high three tackles in victory over Army ... also had one quarterback hurry.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Shaw High School ... served as team captain ... led team in rushing as a senior ... coached by Mardye McDole ... also participated in basketball, baseball and track & field during career at Shaw.
