Redshirted in 2005 but was thrust into action in 2006 as the starting center on the offensive line ... has been a starter at center last three seasons ... enters 2009 season with a streak of 36 consecutive starts for the Blazers on the offensive line ... named to 2009 Rimington Award Watch List in May ... saw some action at left guard during '07 spring practice.

2008: Started all 12 games at center for UAB ... anchor of offensive front that saw quarterback Joe Webb shatter C-USA record for rushing yards by a signal-caller.

2007: Started all 12 games at center for the Blazers and had excellent season ... contended for all-conference honors.

2006: Assumed starting center position for the Blazers after graduation of Matt Batusic ... earned a spot on the Conference USA All-Freshman Team as selected by league's coaches.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Vestavia Hills High School ... named to the Birmingham Post-Herald's Super All-Metro team as a junior in 2003 as he helped lead the Rebels to a 12-2 record and a state semifinals appearance ... a two-year starter at offensive tackle for the Rebels ... two-time state heavyweight champ on Vestavia Hills' wrestling squad which won the class 6A state championship in 2005 ... listed among The Birmingham News' "Super Seniors" Class of 2005 "Best of the Rest" ... posted a 48-2 all-time record on the mat ... coached by Buddy Anderson.
