The Blazers' starter at tight end for most of the 2004 season ... has excellent size ... will be a candidate this season for postseason all-conference honors.

2004: UAB starter at tight end ... was on receiving end of seven passes for 82 with a pair of touchdowns ... caught what turned out to be game-winning 8-yard TD pass from Darrell Hackney in road win at Cincinnati and also caught 10-yard scoring pass from Hackney in victory over TCU.

2003: Was Blazers' starter at tight end for latter part of season ... started three of final four games for UAB ... caught five passes for 75 yards during the season but made the most of them with two catches going for touchdowns ... had touchdown receptions of two yards vs. Memphis and 10 yards vs. South Florida ... his long reception of the season -- and for his career -- went for 36 yards against Troy State.

2002: Saw action as backup tight end for the Blazers, starting one game (vs. Troy State) ... caught two passes on the season for 20 yards and one touchdown ... his touchdown was a 1-yard score from Darrell Hackney in UAB's victory at Army.

2001: Redshirted as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: A member of The Birmingham News "Super Seniors" class of 2001 ... had 418 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as a senior at Courtland High School ... also rushed for 257 yards and five touchdowns ... had 47 tackles and three sacks as a defensive lineman ... missed last part of the 2000 season with a knee strain in his team's sixth game ... was considered by many to be one the state of Alabama's top prospects.
