A gifted offensive lineman who is projected as the starter at left guard for the second consecutive season going into fall practice ... was named to 2002 Preseason All-C-USA First Team by league coaches ... has excellent mechanics.

2002: Was one of the Blazers' most consistent offensive linemen during the course of the season ... started 10 of 12 contests for UAB at left guard position.

2001: Was named to the C-USA All-Freshman team ... played in nine games, starting four for the Blazers.

2000: Sat out the season as a redshirt ... was very impressive in fall practice and came close to seeing action several times, as injuries shook up the UAB offensive line ... was listed as high as second on the depth chart at one point during the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner for coach Jimmy Addison at Dothan High School (was the school's first four-year varsity letterwinner) ... an all-state performer as a senior (Birmingham News) ... "Best of the Rest" selection by Birmingham Post-Herald ... football team was 6A Division champion in 1997, 1999 ... other honors include Prep Star, All-Region, DHS Coaches' Award, DHS Iron Man Award (1996-98) ... member of Alabama State Weightlifting Championship team (1997, 1998) ... also lettered in baseball (was named team's best offensive player as a junior) ... member of National Honor Society.
