Coming off first season at UAB and a strong finish to 2008 campaign ... had excellent spring to continue momentum ... in three 2009 spring scrimmages, Ferrell had 13 receptions for 288 yards and one touchdown ... listed as No. 1 at "Z" wide receiver entering fall practice.

2008: Made impact at receiver for Blazers in his first season at UAB ... finished year with 13 receptions for 177 yards ... played in all 12 games for UAB during season and started the final five contests of the year ... came on strong late in the season as he had eight receptions for 121 yards in final two games, including a season-best five catches for 82 yards in in season finale at UCF ... had a long reception of 35 yards vs. UCF ... also caught two passes in road game at Tennessee in third week of season.
