Enrolled at UAB in fall, 2007 ... became one of UAB's top offensive linemen in a short amount of time but he sat out 2009 season to concentrate on academics before returning in 2010 ... expected to again play prominent role on offensive line this season ... has seen significant action at guard and tackle during career ... listed as No. 1 right guard coming out of spring practice.

2010: Started all 12 games of season with first five coming at right tackle and last seven at right guard ... helped Blazers to second-highest offensive yardage total (5,074 yards) in school history.

2009: Sat out season to concentrate on academics.

2008: Started all 12 games at right tackle for the Blazers ... was one of the most consistent linemen on the team during the season.

2007: Played 10 games during season and started eight of those ... moved into starting lineup as true freshman offensive tackle in fifth game of season at Mississippi State.

High School: Attended Tri-Cities High School ... a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter ... played on both sides of the fall for the Bulldogs ... earned All-Region 4-5A first-team honors on defense and was second-team on offense as a senior in 2006 ... was rated as the top offensive lineman at the Scout.com combine in Atlanta in the spring of 2006 ... was listed as the Class of 2007's No. 65 prep prospect in Georgia by Scout.com ... coached by Morris Starr ... also participated in basketball and track.
