After sitting out 2011 season, Crews was moved to linebacker from safety early in 2012 spring drills and saw his first collegiate action last season as a redshirt freshman ... is listed at No. 2 at jack linebacker position entering fall camp.

2012: Played in 11 games, missing only the Ohio State contest ... finished the season with 15 tackles, including nine solo hits ... also contributed a tackle for loss (Troy), a pass breakup (at Tulane) and a fumble recovery (vs. Southeastern Louisiana) ... returned the fumble 11 yards against the Lions ... recorded a season-high three tackles in three different games (South Carolina, Tulane and Marshall) ... had two tackles in road game at Houston.

2011: Redshirted and did not play.

High School: Attended Bibb County High School where he helped lead the Choctaws to back-to-back Class 4A Region 3 championships in 2009 and 2010 ...
