2001: Started all 11 games at cornerback ... also saw duty on special teams ... had interceptions vs. Montana State (Aug. 30) and at Memphis (Oct. 27) ... had a season-high six solo tackles at Florida State (Sep. 8) and at Houston (Nov. 17) ... had 51 total tackles for the season (40 solo, 11 assists) ... had 15 pass breakups, including three at Memphis (Oct. 27) ... was also part of the "team" block on Memphis... last-second field goal attempt in the Blazers' 17-14 victory (Oct. 27).

2000: Started all 11 games ... tied for the team lead in interceptions with three ... had interceptions at Kansas (Sep. 16) and vs. Southern Miss (Nov. 11), but had one of the most memorable picks in UAB football history in the final seconds at LSU (Sep. 23), a play which set up Rhett Gallego's winning field goal on the game's final play ... had 51 total tackles (33 solo, 18 assists) on the season ... saw only non-contact action during 2000 spring drills after undergoing surgery on both his shoulder and leg during the off-season.

1999: Started nine games and played in all 11 as a redshirt freshman ... had 57 total tackles (45 unassisted, 12 assists), one tackle for loss and six pass breakups ... scored the first UAB touchdown of the 1999 season with a 16-yard return of a blocked punt vs. Missouri (9/4) ... also had a critical blocked field goal in overtime that set up the Blazers' win at Tulane (11/20).

1998: Sat out season for academic reasons.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year starter for Coach Ron Kitchens at Avondale High School ... a Georgia Stars selection by Jeff Whitaker's Deep South Football Recruiting Guide ... Two-time team MVP as defensive back ... played cornerback and receiver ... made 95 tackles as a senior ... also had two interceptions and 12 pass breakups ... had 90 tackles as a junior, with five interceptions, 15 pass breakups and four forced fumbles ... had 55 tackles and 19 pass break-ups as a sophomore ... played on the varsity as a freshman ... also lettered in basketball and earned All-State honors in track ... won Georgia statelong jump championship as a senior.
