Enrolled at UAB in January, 2010 after signing with the Blazers a month earlier ... started all 24 games in his two-year UAB career ... the former junior college transfer and Raleigh, Miss., product racked up 213 total tackles in those two years to rank 16th on UAB's career tackles list.

2011: Led UAB with 119 tackles, the fifth-most in school history, while ranking fifth in C-USA and 24th in the nation with 9.92 tackles per game ... also forced four fumbles (0.33 per game) to rank third in the league and 19th in the country ... contributed 7.5 tackles per loss and intercepted two passes ... returned one of those INTs 35 yards for a touchdown at East Carolina on his way to earning C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors ... recorded double-digit tackles in seven games during the season with a season-high 14 stops against both Houston and Florida Atlantic ... also had 13 tackles against Tulane with 11 on contests vs. East Carolina, Troy and Southern Miss ... had 10 tackles at Tulsa ... his 11 stops in win over C-USA champion Southern Miss were all solo hits ... in addition to interception for a touchdown vs. ECU, he also registered a pair of forced fumbles against the Pirates.
