After a redshirt season in 2011, Coles is part of a group of talented, young running backs who help give Blazers excellent depth at the position ... had an outstanding spring ... rushed for 85 yards on 15 attempts in first scrimmage, ran for 76 yards and a touchdown on 10 rushes in second scrimmage before posting 63 yards on only seven carries in the spring game ... totaled 224 rushing yards on 32 attempts (7.0 ypr) in three spring scrimmages ... listed as co-No. 2 on the depth chart coming out of spring drills.

2011: Saw action in first two games of season (Florida and Tulane) before injury kept him off field for remainder of season ... was granted medical redshirt ... rushed four times for 15 yards in season opener at Florida ... named to Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School: Attended Tucker High School in metro-Atlanta area ... an honorable mention all-state selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a senior in 2010 ... also tabbed all-area and All-DeKalb County ... named the 2010 DeKalb Neighbor Football All-Area Player of the Year ... ran for 1,301 yards on 142 carries (9.2 yards per carry) and 20 touchdowns as a senior ... finished second on his run-first team with 11 catches for 203 yards and two scores ... helped Tucker to an undefeated regular season, a 13-1 overall record and a Region 6-AAAA championship in 2010 ...
